Ingrowing toenail
Ingrowing toenail: An ingrown toenail is a condition where the edges of the toenail are bent and grow into the skin of the toe. The result is pressure, itching, swelling, and pain. In many cases, the nail breaks the skin, which usually leads to an infection called paronychia.
A seemingly small problem but repeated infection in the great toe causes severe pain and discomfort during daily activities. Most jobs require wearing shoes, this becomes impossible due to the pain. So this “small problem “ becomes highly distressing for the patient. A recent study mentioned that this problem is prevalent in 5 percent of the population. And in spite of this, it is not treated in a satisfactory manner. Recurrence is common.
We at Gandhi
Nursing Home have developed a method to give guaranteed results for ingrowing toe nails. A simple daycare/opd procedure involving removal of the nail bed at the edges permanently solves this problem.
